FIRST CLASS SERVICE!

KIMJULY 23,2013

I am a fearful flyer and thunderstorms are my worst fear. When I was in my early 30's I was on a United flight from Dulles to Boston. It was very bad weather. I was nervous and hadn't yet discovered the power of Xanax.:) A friendly flight attendant offered to move me to the front in first class where I sat near a window. She brought out the first officer who proceeded to explain how the plane flies around thunderstorms and pointed out the beautiful bursts in the sky. I was still scared but also fascinated with the beauty of it. We landed safely and I changed a bit thanks to the caring crew from a fraidy cat to a more appreciative nature lover. This was pre 9-11 and I doubt this could be done now but it still proves people have big hearts indeed!
